The Tropic Pure Effects Beauty Booster is Tropic’s answer to the popular BB creams in the market. It’s a mixture of moisturising serum and lightweight foundation coverage. The Pure Effects BB is newly formulated and now comes with a Beauty Drop (beauty blender) to help apply it. It is 100% natural and includes UVA/UVB protection as well as HEV artificial light protection. In the city I know my skin can get really clogged up with dirt, a BB cream can act as a barrier to this, so I was very excited to try it out. I wore it when I popped into Southampton the other day and also when I attended work’s Christmas party.
The packaging is simple and sleek. I loved the beauty drop, it felt a bit rigid for a sponge but once I’ve used and washed it a few times I think it will soften up. You only need the tiniest bit to cover your face so although it is a small bottle I think this will last me a long time.
I do not have bad skin at the moment so I can’t say I have truly put it to the test but I do have a lot of redness and scars on my chin from past spots.
After Beauty Booster:
My skin looked dewy and young. The Beauty Booster covered my blemishes and evened out my skintone which I was really pleased with. I think I may have used to much though as I was aware it was on my skin, this may also be because I haven’t worn any kind of liquid foundation in a long time and I am definitely not used to the feel of it anymore.
I added eyeshadow, mascara and lip gloss to finish my look.
I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and chose the eyeshadow in Dust. I used my Tropic Mineral Foundation Powder to make my face matte and used my Tropic Kabuki Brush to apply it. I used my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. My Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara was perfect for this look, as was my Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss stick in Nudist. Perfect finishing touches.
